Use Natural Craft Brushes for Applying Makeup
Every professional makeup artist swears by the tools of the trade: makeup brushes in all shapes and sizes. The secret is that you don’t have to pay a fortune for makeup brushes. You can purchase brushes at your local craft store at a much lower price than regular makeup brushes.
When searching for brush substitutions at your craft store, take your time selecting the most appropriate brushes:
- Make sure to carefully feel the texture of the brush. You want to pick brushes that are soft to the touch, yet stiff enough to apply shadow or foundation.
- Select brushes with natural fibers as these will work best with most cosmetics and skin types.
- Make your brushes last by cleaning them regularly with gentle shampoo. Scrub the brushes, then rinse and repeat until all the makeup is removed.
Although craft brushes may not be designed specifically for makeup application, some can still do the job pretty well. You just have to do the leg work and pick the ones that work best for you.
