Ballerina-sleek Bun
One of the hair trends spotted at fall runaways this week is the classic Ballerina Bun. This sophisticated hairstyle can add elegance to a casual outfit or complement a more dressy look.
This season’s version of the bun is the perfect mix between a neat and messy bun, according to the stylist who handled hair at the Monique Lhuiller fashion show, Sabrina Michals.
For a ballerina bun, she gathers hair into a low pony without using a brush so that the chignon is tight and clean. Hair is then twisted and pinned into a bun using a toothbrush to tame unruly strands.
Even if you can’t tell the difference between a plie and a piroutte, ballerina buns are an easy look for day or night. Here’s the details on creating a ballerina bun by stylist Harry Josh for BCBG, courtesy of Bella Sugar. Or, try an easy updo.

My Mother-in-law and her twin sister wore their hair in a bun all the time.
It was very attractive.
