Glorious and Free Online Dating
Now that the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics have wrapped up, Canadians can go back to what they usually do: online dating.
According to a web measurement company, comScore, Canadians spend more days per month and minutes a day checking out online dating sites than users in the US, UK, France, and Germany.
Canada is also home to one of the most successful dating sites, Plenty of Fish. Around 1.5 million people visit the free site daily, with as many as 380,000 messages being sent between members an hour. The founder of Plenty of Fish, Markus Frind, believes online dating is mainstream now and won’t be going away any time soon even though social networks like Facebook are stealing some of the attention away.
Are you Canadian? Have you tried online dating?
