Jessica Simpson is planning a comeback to reality TV

According to Us Weekly, Jessica Simpson is currently pitching a new reality show called the Price of Beauty. Although the singer’s representative confirmed that she is working on a new show, the network details have yet to be settled. For this reality show, Simpson will travel around the world with a friend to discover how other countries define beauty. As part of the journey, she’ll try some of the unique beauty rituals that women perform to make themselves beautiful.

Global Beauty Secrets

These beauty secrets have already been discovered and shared around the world:

  • France–Sweet almond oil helps French women remove eye makeup and hydrate the eye area to keep it smooth.
  • Greece–Greek women apply yogurt to their face for a nourishing mask full of protein, vitamins, and minerals.
  • India–In the Indian tradition, women condition their hair with oil before shampooing to provide deep conditioning and promote relaxation which is important for thick, healthy hair.
  • Spain–Ladies of Spain apply potato slices on their eyes for ten minutes to help fade dark circles.

Update: VH1 has picked up The Price of Beauty. According to her interview with StyleList, Jessica met with women from eight countries for her series. Along with teaching her so much about beauty and customs, there were also “some pretty hilarious moments.” Here’s a first look at the series, which debuts March 15.

Simpson will appear on the Oprah Show on March 4th. She’s coming on to discuss her VH1 series, but questions about John Mayer’s recent inappropriate comments aren’t off limits.

Not really a fan of her, but for some reason I can’t wait to see this…

I’m curious about this one too. I hope one of the networks picks it up.
