It was only a matter of time before Oprah would jump on the Mad Men craze, and now she’s hosting January Jones and Jon Hamm as they sit down on September 21 to discuss the success of the show.
In the spirit of the 60s for which the drama was created, Oprah will be wearing a one of a kind red silk dress with a brooch closure designed by Mad Men’s costume designer, Janie Bryant. This Oprah episode will feature music from the 60s courtesy of the Jersey Boys, a Mad Men inspired set, and a studio audience wearing their best interpretations of vintage 60s style.
If you’re pulling for Mad Men at the Emmy Awards coming up September 20, why not throw a 60s cocktail party. Oprah has some ideas on how to put together the celebration.
To get you in the mood, here’s a favorite 60s style appetizer recipe and a link to more retro recipes.
