With almost 60 days to go before Vancouver 2010, the spirit of the Olympics is picking up speed and making its way across Canada and the world. In honor of the upcoming winter games, Lancome has collaborated with renowned Canadian artist, Raphael Mazzucco, on the design of the limited edition boxes for the Gold Fascination Collection.
Representing the focus and vision of Canadian female athletes as they gear up for top level competition in Vancouver, the gold-inspired collection includes:
- Color Design Quad Eye Shadow Palette (in Showstopper Style)
- L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick (in Absolute Rouge, Cherrywood Luxe, and Sienna Ultime)
- Color Design Blush (in Pret A Plum Sheer and Model Mocha)
- La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer
Mini Art Canvasses
Each item is available in a striking box featuring eyes, profiles, and lips—all part of a multi-step art process that draws from the shimmery gold pigment of the collection. The photographs for the Gold Fascination Collection evolved as they were transformed and enhanced by different elements that inspired Raphael.
Makeup artist Lisa-Marie Mazzucco, Raphael’s wife, also participated in the creative effort. As former athletes (Raphael played professional soccer with the Vancouver Whitecaps and Lisa-Marie won a gold medal in figure skating at the Commonwealth Games), the project was exciting for the Canadian couple who were able to produce something they truly believed in. Specially created for Canadian women, the Lancome Gold Fascination Collection is destined to be a winner as it combines the history of Lancome excellence with the unique art of Raphael Mazzucco. The Gold Fascination Collection is available in limited quantities starting January 1st, 2010 exclusively at The Bay.
