Carl’s Jr. Launches Three Entree Salads

Following in the high-heeled footsteps of Paris Hilton and Audrina Partridge, Kim Kardashian is the latest reality star to promote fast food at Carl’s Jr®. What’s on the menu this time? Carl’s Jr. Premium Salads.

With her recent toning up and weight loss, Kim prefers salads over burgers because she’s “really into fitness and health” (check out an interview with Kim where she discusses Carl’s Jr. salads and more, courtesy of PopEater). In her upcoming ad promoting the salads, Kim also shares her love of bed picnics, where she puts out a towel and eats in bed.

The “Who Says Salads Can’t Be Hot” campaign kicks off this week, when Kim will reach out to Internet fans with a video ad on the Carl’s Jr. Facebook page and YouTube. Kim will also host “The Ultimate Salad Lunch Date,” broadcast live on Carl’s Jr.’s Facebook page on January 13, 2010.

The new line of premium salads includes three varieties:

  • Cranberry, Apple, Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad
  • Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad
  • Original Grilled Chicken Salad

With gourmet ingredients like grilled chicken, dried cranberries, and candied walnuts (see all of the ingredients here), the premium salads at $5 do sound kind of hot. You may want to pass on the bed picnic. Click here to watch the ad, courtesy of ryanseacrest.com.

Cranberry, Apple, Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad: Featuring grilled, marinated chicken on top of feta cheese and crisp apple slices, served with dried cranberries, glazed walnuts and a delicious, naturally-flavored raspberry vinaigrette.
