How to Speed up Your Beauty Routine

2 Mar

Maybe you partied too hard last night. Or, you stayed up late dishing the crazy antics of your favorite reality housewife. Either way, you may have trouble getting started in the morning.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and pressed for time, follow these tips to speed up your beauty routine.

Deep cleanse your face in the shower. The steam from the shower will open your pores so you remove impurities easier. Try The Body Shop’s Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash to clean, exfoliate, and purify at the same time.

Spread out your makeup items the night before. Line all the items you plan on using on your bathroom counter, so you don’t have to hunt for them in the morning. A new makeup trend to keep in mind is coordinating your lipstick/gloss color with your top or dress.

Use a multi-functional product for your foundation and concealer. Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation provides SPF protection in a powder format. You can also use a smaller brush with the foundation to provide coverage to hard-to-reach areas.

Apply mascara on the top lashes only for a more natural look. Mascara comes off more from your bottom lashes and may cause smudging. Try a non-flaking mascara like Stila’s Major Lash Mascara that adds pigment and shine.

Dab on a shimmer cream or highlight to wake up your face. Benefit’s High Beam can be used as a spot highlighter (on areas like the upper cheeks or under the brow) or blended all over. A brush applicator lets you get glowy fast.

Use a big fluffy brush for a quick sweep of color. For quick blush or bronzing powder application, you need the right tool. EcoTools Bamboo Blush Brush, which is made of natural and recycled materials, evenly applies color to brighten up your face.

Plump up your lips with clear gloss. For plumped up lips, dab clear lip gloss in the center of your bottom lip after applying lipstick. NYX The Blue Lip Gloss-Smile Brightener has a clear blue tone that also makes your teeth look whiter.

Pass on washing and blow drying your hair. If you don’t have time to wash and blow dry your hair, use baby power or a dry shampoo to remove any dirt. Apply the powder or shampoo into your hair and let it sit for a few minutes. Fluff up your hair for volume before brushing the powder or dry shampoo through your hair.
