Three Canadian Bachelors Suit up for ‘Bachelorette’

23 May

Canadian Men Rock the Bachelorette

Three Canadian bachelors will vy for the attention of Ali Fedotowsky on the latest season of The Bachelorette starting May 24th. The career-oriented, account manager from San Francisco, who left Jake Pavelka to return to her job at Facebook, will choose from 25 men looking for love.

Since Jillian Harris was such a successful Bachelorette, it only makes sense for the franchise to look up north for potential candidates (congrats to Jillian for joining the cast of Extreme Makeover for next season!).

The three hopefuls include 27-year-old Chris Hasek, a real estate developer from Vancouver; 34-year old Craig McKinnon, a dental sales representative from Sarnia; and 26-year-old Justin Rego, an entertainment wrestler from Toronto. All three Canadians received a rose from Ali on the Season Premiere.

There’s even more Canadian content this season with the first Bachelorette music video ever starring Canada’s Barenaked Ladies. Who knew the band was a fan of the show?[tweetmeme source= “blushstopshere” only_single=false]

Update:

  • Justin Rego Had to Go: After discovering the truth, Justin “Rated-R” was chased off the show in Instanbul when Jessie Sulidis, along with Justin’s girlfriend (Jessica) called Ali regarding Justin’s plot to advance his career via The Bachelorette. When caught in his web of lies, Justin limped off the show to a chorus of private voice mails he left for Jessica declaring his love for her. Check out his side of the story here (ladies, he’s no longer with Jessica).
  • Going Home: Chris H. never really had a chance! Find out more details here about Chris Hasek, originally from Campbell River, BC. Check out his Facebook fan page here.
  • Going home: After his showdown with Jonathan “the weather dude,” Craig M. didn’t stand up well for himself with Ali. Craig’s high school buddy talks about his behavior on the reality show and Craig admits here that he’s “just not that into Ali”. He was also surprised how the show was edited.
