Disney And MAC Cosmetics Team Up For Villains Collection‎

If you grew up watching Disney movies, you now have the perfect excuse to try out MAC’s Venomous Villains collection available from September 30, 2010 through October 2010.

The four separate mini-collections feature Disney’s most celebrated villains:

* Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians

* Evil Queen from Snow White

* Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty

* Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog

The colors and textures of the collections match the essence of the characters with something for everyone. Signature red reflects the crimson in Cruella’s ensemble, while smoky purples highlight the Evil Queen’s robes. The green tone of Maleficent (Mistress of All Evil) has inspired shades of nail lacquer and eye shadow, and amber colors show off Dr. Facilier’s unisex products.

Highlights of the Venomous Villains Collections

To bring out your inner villain, experiment with the palette of pearlescent blacks, royals, and rosy reds. Some of these items may just end up on your wish list:

* Cruella De Vil’s red obsession lives on with copper red eyeshadow called De‑Vil that you can match with Heartless lipstick, a cherry red shade.

* Oh So Fair Beauty Powder in the Evil Queen collection is great for pale skin. Apply the pink with gold pearl color on your cheeks and pair it with strong eye shadow like Vile Violet (deep dirty blue purple) or Vainglorious (bronze burgundy).

* Formidable! Nail Lacquer in the Maleficent collection is on trend with the hot jewel tones of the season. The nail color is a teal green with pink multi‑changing pearl.

* The Dr. Facilier collection includes a new product called Magically Cool Liquid Powder that contains 70% water and has a cooling sensation on the skin. The powder comes in Truth & Light (a sheer shimmer that reflects silver and pink) and Cajun (a sheer bronze shimmer that reflects gold).

UPDATE: I picked up the Oh So Fair Beauty Powder from the Evil Queen collection today (shown in the photo above). The powder is soft pink with a very subtle sheen. It’s recommended as an all over powder but can also work as a blush on fair skin.
