As one of New York most eclectic neighborhoods, SoHo has a long history for being the city’s artistic haven.
To celebrate the re-opening of their SoHo store, Chanel recently launched a limited edition makeup collection. Chanel’s global creative director of makeup, Peter Marino, has designed the SoHo Story Collection to echo the spirit of the store’s downtown location.
“For me, SoHo is a place where Bohemian ideals meet the toughness of the city,” he says. “I love the tension and energy this creates.” The line is for a “special kind of New York woman. She is innocent, but she has a steely determination that fuels the city.”
The pop art-influenced beauty collection features pinks, neutrals, and industrial metallics. The signature product is the Chanel SoHo de Chanel Highlighting Powder and Blush with the four letters of SOHO embossed in the powder. When dusted across your face, the powder creates a subtle, natural glow.
The entire collection includes:
- Highlighting Powder and Blush (light plum, pink-ivory, and soft pink)
- Quadra Eyeshadow in Stupendous
- Rouge Coco Lipstick in Stunning
- Glossimer Lip Gloss in Star
- Rouge Allure Laque in Stunt
- Le Vernis Nail Color in both Steel and Strong
