Fans of Marilyn Monroe may be seeing a lot more of the iconic star now that rights to the late star’s image have been sold to a Canadian entrepreneur. The aim of the deal is to target the mass-market with a line of apparel, handbags, fragrances, and home goods.

“At the end of the day, we see her as glamour and high fashion, but at the same time she is loved by all,” Jamie Salter, who acquired her estate along with US partners, said: “She’s the most iconic female personality in the world. She’s timeless. The biggest and the best aspire to be like her: Madonna, Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie, Lindsay Lohan. They love her.”

The brand’s new owners are also considering a possible reality-TV show based on the movie star. Bloomberg News recently reported that a pitch was made for a show called, “Who Is the Next Face of Marilyn Monroe,” which would involve contestants trying to represent the brand.

Marilyn Monroe may even be the new face of luxury brand Dior with a new beauty campaign due out later this year.
