Paris in the Springtime with Essie ‘French Affair’

Spring 2011 Nail Polish Collection

One of my favorite chick flicks is French Kiss starring Meg Ryan (Kate) as an American school teacher who follows her straying Canadian fiancé to Paris.

As she jets over to the City of Lights humming “I Hate Paris in the Springtime,” Kate seeks help from a French thief (Luc), artfully played by Kevin Kline, who tries to help her get her man back (after trying to scam her) but ends up winning her heart instead.

You can capture a bit of Paris in February by trying out Essie’s new spring nail polish collection called French Affair. Inspired by the glamour of French stars like Brigitte Bardot, the six nail polish shades are feminine with a retro twist.

French springtime colors include Nice Is Nice, Coat Azure, and French Affair which are lavender, periwinkle blue, and light pink. You can jump on the neutral train with shades like Topless & Barefoot, Sand Tropez, and Kisses And Bises which cover tones like soft beige pink, sandy beige, and pink shimmer. Each bottle retails for around $8.
