Red Carpet looks, Makeup Tips, and Products Used

Canadian female rockers stood out on the red carpet at the 40th annual Juno Awards last weekend with the help of MAC Cosmetics, who created the makeup looks for Care (Die Mannequin), Mia Martina, and Amanda Walther and Sheila Carabine (Dala).

My favorite look was New Brunswick singer Mia Martina’s updated smoky eyes in a silver blue shade.

According to MAC Senior Artist Melissa Gibson, “Mia wanted something that goes with the crazy number of crystals on her dress,” so she chose a strong eye to add some sparkle to the look.x

Get the Look

To brighten up a traditional smoky eye, take a silver frosted shadow or pigment and add it to the center of the eye with a small, dense brush.

To add even more emphasis to the eyes, try changing things up by using a colored pencil on the lower line, like MAC Technakohl Liner in Auto-de-Blu. If you want to go heavy on the eyes, keep your lip color simple and let only one feature shine!
