Do Blueberries Fight Fat?

Want to slash your body’s fat cells?

Then, start snacking on blueberries as they reduce the number of fat cells in the body by up to three‑quarters.

A study performed at Texas Woman’s University found that blueberries reduced the fat content in tissue cultures taken from mice.

The study showed that fat content in the control group was significantly higher than those of the tissue given three doses of blueberry polyphenols (natural chemicals in plants that work to prevent cellular damage in the body).

Blueberry doses reduced the amount of fat by as much as 73%. Although the tests have yet to be done on humans, the study may mean that it’s safe to dig into that blueberry cheesecake (low fat, of course).
