Banana Republic Unveils its Mad Men Collection

6 Aug

Are You a Joan or a Peggy?

Mad Men may have been off the air for almost a year, but that hasn’t stopped fans from wanting to recreate the vintage looks of leading characters like Joan Harris and Don Draper.

The Mad Men collection, available in Banana Republic stores and online starting this month, includes 65 items created as a contemporary collaboration between the store and Janie Bryant, Mad Men’s costume designer. Bryant also has designed another line of 60s-inspired clothing (called Mod) for QVC and The Shopping Channel.

You can go retro with men’s suits and ties, high-waisted skirts, and vintage-style frocks (check out for photos of the Banana Republic Man Men collection; one of my favorites is the leopard-patterned sweater and bow-tied blouse teamed up with skinny grey trousers).

If you’re a fan of Banana Republic on Facebook, get early access to a presale of the collection on August 10, a day before it’s scheduled to be available in stores and on the Banana Republic website.
