Keep Your Eyes on These New Beauty Trends

Thanks for stopping by The Blush Stops Here. Happy new year to all my fabulous readers!

Here are some beauty trends can look forward to for 2013.

Bangs are the Latest Hair Accessory

Kate Middleton took the plunge and so did mama-to-be Kim K. towards the end of the year.

Making even more of an impact in 2013, you’ll see a lot of runway and celebrity looks with blunt (sheepdog) bangs. The good thing about long bangs is that you can do double duty and angle them to the side for a softer look.

Nourishing Oils for the Hair and Face

Have you tried any of the latest oils on your hair yet? Argan oil from Morocco has been around for a few years in products like MoroccanOil shampoo and Josie Maran’s Argan Cleansing Oil.

You’ll see exotic oils in other products as well this year, even foundation like Giorgio Armani’s Maestro Skin Perfector which is currently getting raves.

Bold Brows Make a Comeback

Thin, overplucked brows are so 2010. This year’s brows are thicker and fuller and complement the latest bold matte shades for lips.

If you don’t want to resort to a brow implant, you can try a great brow tamer like the Brow Power Perfector 5-in-1 Waterproof Powder Gel Pencil. This brow pencil lets you fill in the blanks with a choice of four shades that stays on all day.

Anti-Aging Beauty Tools Get an Update

At home beauty tools are making a comeback (remember Linda Evan’s Rejuvenique that looked like a mask from a bad horror movie). Suzanne Somer’s FaceMaster is still around (it does work when it comes to lifting your brows and cheeks) but it now has competition from the Serious Skincare Facial Toning System.

You can also try an anti-aging device that uses red light therapy to stimulate collagen production like FaceFx and LightStim. Or, try an at home laser like the Tria Skin Rejuvenating Laser to help diminish fine lines and wrinkles.

Here’s hoping you have a beautiful new year!
