Olive Oil Prevents Sagging Skin

Preventing sagging skin may be as proactive as incorporating a certain type of oil into your daily diet.

Results of a French study involving both sexes identified a lower risk of severe photoaging (sun damage) with higher intakes of monounsaturated fatty acids from olive oil. Photoaging, including blotchy pigmentation, wrinkling, and skin sagging, is a response to sun exposure.

Olive oil may be uniquely beneficial to skin because it contains a rich amount of polyphenol antioxidants. These type of antioxidants work in the body to enhance health in complex ways.

So, go ahead and add some olive oil to cooked vegetables or your salad.  Not only will you season your food, you’ll get a step up in the war on sagging skin and wrinkles.
