Best Beauty Finds 2014

Here are some of the beauty finds I came across this year.

What qualifies as a beauty find on The Blush Stops Here: the product gets the job done!

1. Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate

When my skin is looking dull and tired, I apply a drop or two of this skin booster and my skin takes on a glow almost immediately. Use it for a few days and your skin will definitely look softer and smoother (less makeup required!).

The refreshing grapefruit scent will also wake you up in the morning. Get more details about Ultimune here.

2. Fresh Sugar Ruby Tinted Lip Treatment

I admit that I’m not a fan of bright red lips, but I’ve definitely warmed out to the shimmery rouge tint of Fresh’s new addition to the Sugar Lip Treatment collection. The nourishing balm treats your lips, while the sheer texture lets you apply it on the go (without a mirror) and not worry about a moving lip line.

3. Skinn Collagenesis® Intellitint® CC Cream

When it comes to the right shade for your skin tone, all CC creams are not created equal.

This is the only CC cream (and BB cream) that matches my skin perfectly, covers imperfections, and leaves a healthy glow. The formula includes a naturally derived plant active to fight wrinkles–similar to retinol but without the irritation.

I use the Light shade but the cream is also available in Porcelain, Medium, Deep, and Caramel.

4. Clinique Cheek Pop Blush

Clinique launched this gorgeous cheek collection last spring, when we were all sick of the cold weather (perfect timing!)

The flower-shaped cheek pops leave an instant pop of color on the cheeks, plain and simple. The color is richly pigmented so you don’t have to use a lot, plus it stays on all day.

It’s hard to pick a single shade because they are all universal but I tried the Berry shade, which is a raspberry tone. The other shades are Plum (pink), Ginger (coral), and Peach (warm peach). Get more detail about Clinique Cheek Pop Blush here.

5. Pür Minerals Hello Bright Eyes Pencil

Lining your lower eye lid with white pencil to wake up your eye is on trend but sometimes it can look scary (especially when used by a certain Reality TV star).

This brightening beauty trick works well when you use the right product like the Hello Bright Eyes Pencil. The soft pink color in this self-sharpening pencil makes your eyes appear bigger and clearer especially after a late night. The tip of the pencil is soft enough so that you can’t do any damage, if you’re really tired.

Tip: Apply the eye pencil to the corner of the eye and under the brow as a highlighter.
