Clinique’s Mix-and-Match Neutrals Collection

22 Jan

When it comes to beauty, 2015 could very well be the year of Clinique.

First, the company collaborated with Meghan Trainor on a limited-edition makeup bag, inspired by her latest video Lips Are Movin’.

Now, Clinique has introduced a very wearable collection of eye shadows that will definitely shake up your image of neutral shadows  (these aren’t your mother’s neutrals).

The Wear Everywhere Neutral collection includes 5 palettes, each with 8 shadows that explore a different colour family:

  • Nudes
  • Greys
  • Pinks
  • Blues
  • Greens

Each neutral palette lets you get creative and mix and match blendable neutrals that are either matte or shimmery. You can tone down the shadows for work or amp them up for evening wear. The shadows are crease-and fade-resistant and ophthalmologist tested.

I had a chance to check out a sample of the Greys and the Pinks.

The Greys

The palette in the Grey family contains shadows that range from a pinky grey to a shimmery silver to a deep black:

  • Seashell Pink (Matte)
  • High Tea (Matte)
  • Mushroom (Super Shimmer)
  • Gray Matters (Matte)
  • Sugar Cane (Soft Shimmer)
  • Silver Lining (Super Shimmer)
  • Stormy (Soft Shimmer)
  • Stroke of Midnight (Matte)

The Pinks

The palette in the Pink family contains shadows that range rom a soft pink to a plum pink to a grape pink:

  • Highlights (Soft Shimmer)
  • Orchid (Soft Shimmer)
  • Silver Dollar (Super Shimmer)
  • Concord (Soft Shimmer)
  • Sugar Plum (Super Shimmer)
  • Vintage Grape (Matte)
  • Blackberry (Soft Shimmer)
  • Taupe (Soft Shimmer)

TIP: If you have hazel eyes (like me), this palette is for you!

All of the shades in the palettes are so bang on that’s it’s hard to pick just one. Whichever palette you end up trying, you’ll definitely be wearing the new neutrals everywhere.
