Boost Your Skin’s Immunity: Shiseido Ultimune Eye

22 Jun

Ultimune Eye

Last year, Shiseido introduced Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate designed to boost the immunity of the skin in its defense against the signs of aging.

Ultimune was such a game changer that it won the best cosmetics award “Prix d’Excellence” in 2014 sponsored by French magazine, Marie Claire.

Taking eye treatment to a new level of intensity, Shiseido has just launched Ultimune Eye Power Infusing Eye Concentrate for the delicate skin around the eye area. Ultimune Eye is based on the same patented immunity activating technology which has won dedicated customers all over the world (one million bottles have already been sold!).

ULTIMUNELABI recently won an invitation to a VIP dinner hosted by Shiseido Canada and City Line’s resident beauty expert Dave Lackie to celebrate the launch of Ultimune Eye.

Talk about lucky–this invitation is like winning the lottery.

What You Need to Know About Ultimune Eye

Here’s what I learned during Shiseido’s presentation in their cross-country mobile Ultimune Lab and what you need to know!

The skin around the eyes has its own immune system which shows the signs of aging when stressed. The eye area skin is also thinner than the rest of the face and has fewer sweat glands which makes it prone to dryness.

Shiseido Ultimune Eye boosts the skin around the eye area making it more resistant to stress and external aggressors. It also enhances the benefits of any other eye care product that you use and amps up its effectiveness (I love this!)

It’s All About the Ingredients

Supported by over 20 years of skin immunity research, Shiseido’s formula for Ultimune Eye includes these ingredients:

  • Ultimune Complex—features Bulgarian Rose Water, Aqua In Pool, and Yeast to help protect skin.
  • ImuMoisture Extract—helps enhance the effects of Ultimune Complex to strengthen the delicate skin around the eye area.
  • Botanical Cocktail—contains Gingko Biloba Leaf Extract, Shiso, and thyme which provide anti-inflammatory effects.

The ingredients in Ultimune products also deliver aromatherapy benefits. I’m not sure how Shiseido does it, but Ultimune products elicit a calming or refreshing effect based on the scent that you find most prominent.

Since I’m already using Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate (I’m on my second bottle), I’m very excited to add Ultimune Eye to my skincare routine.

Stay tuned for future details on how it’s working for me.
