The Age GRACEfully Cookbook

As a beauty blogger, I come across all types of skin care and makeup designed to hold back the aging process.

If you want to look and feel young, there is another strategy to slow down the physical and mental signs of aging.

I had a chance to take look at The Age Gracefully Cookbook by Grace O that turns delicious foods with powerful nutrients into rejuvenating recipes to help fight aging from the inside out.

This unique cookbook focuses on categories of food nutrients or FoodTrients that are essential to healthy living. The collection of age-fighting recipes are color coded based on these five categories:

  • Anti-Inflammatory: Reduces inflammatory process in cells, tissues, and blood vessels.
  • Antioxidant: Prevents and repairs oxidative damage to cells caused by free radicals.
  • Disease-Preventing: Reduces risk factors for age-related diseases.
  • Immunity Boosters: Supports the body’s resistance to infection and strengthens the immune response.
  • Mind and Beauty: Encourages vibrant skin and hair.

For example, if you want to put the brakes on age-related diseases, stir up a Balkan-inspired Potato Kale Soup recipe with cancer-fighting compounds. Or, easily add antioxidant properties to a meal by preparing tangy Green tea Noodles with Edamame.

To get started, I made a quick and tasty Tabbouleh recipe with Quinoa–a complete protein with silica which helps maintain your skin’s elasticity. Grape tomatoes in the Tabbouleh also boost the skin.

With 66 beautifully illustrated recipes, you’ll definitely want to add The Age Gracefully Cookbook to your food reference library as a reminder to  incorporate anti-aging ingredients that help fight aging with every bite.
