The holiday season is hands down the best time of the year to pick up a makeup palette. This year, you can find choices for any budget.
Here are a few palettes that have caught my eye this year. The big question is:
Will you be giving one of these palettes as a gift or keeping it for yourself?
MAC doesn’t come out with a lot of face palettes, so when they do it’s worth taking a look. If you want to introduce yourself or someone to the brand, this year’s Enchanted Eve Face Palette is a great choice.
I like that the palette is available in either warm (neutrals) or cool (pinks/plums) shades and comes in a retro disco case. It contains:
- 3 Eye Shadows
- Beauty Powder
- Cream Colour Base
- Two Lipsticks (cream and high-shine finish)
- Double-Ended brush
If you drool over Bobbi Brown palettes (like I do) but find the price on the high side, this could be your lucky holiday season. This palm-sized palette (under $50) is perfect as a stocking stuffer gift or a holiday touch-up compact for your clutch. It contains:
- High Shimmer Lip Gloss in Bellini
- Eye Shadow in Bone, Sable and Rich Brown
- Metallic Eye Shadow in Golden Pink
- Sparkle Eye Shadow in Blazing Star
The palette has just the right amount of sparkle (grown-up, that is) with silky powder shadow and lip gloss infused with light-reflective sparkle.
If that’s not enough to convince you, the palette comes in a sleek black compact with an embossed crest, silver interior, and mirror.
This is the “girliest” holiday palette that I’ve seen so far with the special-edition packaging design of iconic Yves Saint Laurent Lips.
It’s not all style, though. There’s plenty inside to explore with eye, cheek, and lip colors (plus brushes for each). The set contains:
- 4 Powder Eye Shadow in Brown, Gold, Silver, and Champagne
- 2 Solid Lip colors in Pure Red and Light Pink
- Powder Blush in Doux Corail
- 3 Makeup applicators
