London Drugs Annual Beauty Preview: #LDBeauty

16 Jun

Happy Thursday, beauties 💕.

Last night, I attended the annual London Drugs beauty event in Vancouver, which features upcoming beauty releases from prestige and drugstore beauty brands.

This was my first time attending the #LDBeauty event and I was so excited (and honored) to join dozens of local media and beauty bloggers.

As soon as we arrived, London Drugs got down to business and handed us an empty goody bag to hold all of the amazing samples from the beauty vendors who set up booths at the event.

For the next couple of hours, I was lucky enough to check out each brand’s booth and discover what we’ll be seeing on London Drugs’ shelves in the next few months.

I know all of you love to read about products that are launching soon, so I can’t wait to share some of the highlights from the #LDBeauty 2016 Beauty Collection (stay tuned for more in future posts).

The bottom line is that the next few months of beauty are looking good :).

I’m already a big fan of NYX Cosmetics so I was pumped to check out the latest from their professional makeup line. The products in their latest launch have a bit of an edge like their gradient Ombré Blush, inspired by the ombré trend.

There’s also a slew of vibrant Soft Matte Lip Creams including a Vancouver shade (woo hoo!), which is an amazing deep purple color.

Revlon has been on top of their game with some of their latest products like the Ultra HD Matte Lip Color.  For the upcoming season, they’re launching a couple of cool palettes like the Revlon Eyes, Cheeks & Lips Palette and the Revlon Not Just Nudes Palette.

Makeup Revolution is a new addition to London Drugs coming next month. If you love palettes (and great dupes), you have to check out this brand. I can’t wait to try the Blush Palette Blush Queen with finely milled baked blushes and highlighters.

I`m always game for checking out skin cleansing products, and Neostrata has a wide range of choices including their no rinse Detoxifying Micellar Gel which gently cleanses and removes makeup.

They’re also launching an All-in-One Night Serum and Eye Serum with 50% more retinol than their original formulas.

I’ve heard some of the buzz about Schwarzkopf ULTIME (the face of this collection is Claudia Schiffer). I’m very excited to try out their styliste Ultime Biotin+ Volume Shampoo and Hairspray which strengthens hair from within.

Essie showcased their gelcouture collection, which is a 2-step at home gel solution that lasts for up to 14 days. With over 42 shades and easy removal, it`s hard not to feel #essielove for this collection.

Sally Hansen’s new Color Therapy line is the next evolution of nail color. If you want to give your nails a little TLC, this upcoming line has intense nourishment and up to 10 days of fade-proof wear.

Calvin Klein gave us a sample of their Deep Euphoria fragrance, a floral scent with notes of cascalone and black magic rose.

Margot Robbie has been tapped as the face of this modern, feminine scent which will launch in Fall 2016.

What a neat event! I’m curious about that Neostrata Micellar Gel concept.
And I’m super excited to try the Essie Gel Couture polishes! Those bottles look so neat – like a twisted Essie bottle!

The NeoStrata Detoxifying Micellar Gel looks great. You just apply it with a cotton pad and wipe off–no rinsing :). The new Essie collection has so many beautiful shades, especially the jewel tones for fall.
