Red Lips for Valentine’s Day

Red Lips

Nothing says Valentine’s Day like red lips ๐Ÿ’‹, since red is the color of passion and love.

I searched my makeup “vault,” and found different shades of red that fit the bill whatever the mood.

NYX Velvet Matte Lipstick

For high impact, red lip color with blue undertones like Blood Love from the NYX Velvet Matte Lipstick collection is a definite standout. I took a look at the NYX Velvet Matte Lipstick late last year, and found the formula creamy and a comfortable wear.

Annabelle Twist Up Metallic

A lip crayon is an easy way to go for Valentine’s Day (great for applying in the dark!). This Annabelle retractable lip crayon with a metallic twist in Heartbreaker has an anti-drying formula and decent pigment.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick

When it comes to a deep berry shade, nothing beats Urban Decay’s iconicย Blackmail shade. I took a look at this Urban Decay Vice Lipstick last year and was blown away. This lipstick is highly pigmented with a formula that has a creamy texture.

Kiss NY Pro Egoism Matte Velvet Lipstick

Kiss NY Pro is a recent arrival to Canada (yay!). The Kiss shade in their Kiss NY Pro Egoism Matte Velvet Lipstick line is a very “vampy” red purple. And that’s not all . . . this lipstick has a unique bullet, designed to sculpt the curves of your lips with precision.

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! ๐Ÿ’
