SkinCeuticals Hydrating Masks and Gel

Last week, I was fortunate to attend a Gala Opening of the SkinCeuticals by Project MD boutique in Richmond, BC (a suburb of Vancouver).

At this new concept boutique, you can pop in for an express facial or LED light therapy, or pick up your favorite SkinCeuticals products.

As part of the experience, bloggers and media received a goodie bag with SkinCeuticals hydrating masks and gel.

Since the past few weeks have been on the stressful side (family and work obligations overload), I’ve been taking a break by sampling the masks and gel.

Phyto Corrective Masque

This cooling gel mask is designed to reduce redness and discomfort. With its botanical extracts and hyaluronic acid, it acts as a calming mask to restore smoothness.

Even if you don’t suffer from redness, this green mask is refreshing and light. I know I’ll be using this mask regularly in warmer weather or when my skin is showing signs of sensitivity.

What’s also unique about the Phyto Corrective Masque is that it can be used in multiple ways either as a leave-on, rinse-off, or overnight treatment for the face, chest, or neck. You can use it 2-3 times a week or as needed.

Clarifying Clay Masque

Remember the old-fashioned clay masks that were so drying, they cracked on your face.

The Clarifying Clay Masque, which combines kaolin and bentonite, is a non-drying mask (phew!). The clay in the mask decongests the skin and lifts impurities, while a hydroxy acid blend gently exfoliates.

Unlike other clay masks I’ve used, I found the Clarifying Clay Masque easy to remove. It also left my skin softer and smoother.

If you suffer from any type of breakouts, using this mask once a week purifies the skin of excess oils leading to more refined pores.

Hydrating B5 Gel

After removing the masks, SkinCeuticals recommends following up with a moisture-enhancing serum, like the Hydrating B5 Gel.

This serum, which is enriched with vitamin B5, also contains hyaluronic acid to help bind moisture to the skin. What I like about the serum is that it provides hydration without clogging pores. It also enhances the benefits of your daily moisturizer!

If you live in the area, drop by the Professional Glow Room in the CF Richmond Centre for advanced professional skincare followed by some therapeutic shopping! 🛍️

I’d like to try the hydrating B5 gel. I love moisturizing skin treatments. Can you buy these online?

You can buy SkinCeuticals products on their site ( or on Amazon. If you can find a spa in your area that sells SkinCeutials products, you may want to go in and sample the Hydrating B5 Gel to make sure it’s right for you.
