Latest Fragrance Creation: AURA MUGLER

1 Feb

One of the most popular scents for the new year is the latest fragrance from Thierry Mugler. AURA MUGLER is an addition to the Thierry Mugler perfume division.

This week, AURA MUGLER landed in Vancouver. The launch was held at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in an emerald green-lit room, and featured a visual presentation, a Snapchat booth, temporary AURA MUGLER tattoos, and more!

The Notes

For fragrance lovers (and those who collect Mugler’s uniquely shaped bottles), AURA MUGLER is a must. A fusion between the plant world and the animal kingdom, the fragrance blends botanical freshness and feline sensuality.

AURA is based on these notes represented by three interconnected hearts:

  • Instinctive Heart: Tiger Liana
  • Botanical Heart: Rhubarb Leaf and Orange Blossom Absolute
  • Animal Heart: Bourbon Vanilla Absolute and Wolfwood

I usually wear “girly” fragrances with a sweet scent, so AURA is a switch for me. It’s a sophisticated floral scent with a lingering smoky quality that would suit special occasions.

The Bottle

When it comes to fragrance bottles, MUGLER is well-known for creating works of art.

The heart-shaped bottle for AURA was proposed by Thierry Mugler, and sculpted by an artist before being produced industrially. The volume of the faceted heart is chiseled in glass and set in a metal “M”.

AURA MUGLER Eau de Parfum is available in 30, 50, and 90 ml refillable sprays. The collection also includes a body lotion and shower milk.
