Holiday Stress Relief: Dr. Teal’s Pink Himalayan Bath Products

16 Nov

Hi beauties,

It may be the most wonderful time of the year, but the holidayΒ season is also one of the the most stressful times of the year.

If you know someone who may be overloaded during the holidays, giving the gift of relaxation is a no-brainer!

I`ve been wanting to try Dr. Teal’s bath products for ages, and was lucky enough to receive a few of Dr. Teal’s Pink Himalayan bath products to sample.

With its rich mineral content, Pink Himalayan salt is a popular ingredient right now due to its soothing and replenishing effects.

Dr Teal`s Pink Himalayan Mineral Soak

Adding Epsom salts to your bath is one of the best ways to relax the body and mind. If you have aches and pain or sore feet (too much shopping!), Epsom salts help soothe muscle aches and pain. These detoxifying salt crystals also exfoliate dead skin cells and reduce stress.

For a therapeutic bath experience with the light scent of Bergamot and Sweet Orange essential oils, all you have to do is pour 2 cups of the Pink Himalayan Mineral Soak under warm, running bath water.

Soak in the bath for 20 minutes, then gently dry yourself without rubbing. After a mineral soak bath, I like to take it easy for 30 minutes to 1 hour to keep the relaxation experience going.

Tip: You can also mix a handful of Dr. Teal`s Pink Himalayan Mineral Soak with your favorite bath wash and gently massage onto skin to exfoliate dry, rough patches.

Dr Teal`s Pink Himalayan Foaming Bath

If you prefer bubble baths, you can still replenish and recharge with Dr. Teal’s Pink Himalayan Foaming Bath.

This foaming bath combines Pure Epsom salt and essential oils with long-lasting bubbles to help relieve stress and nourish the skin.

For a bubblicious experience, I pour a generous amount of Dr. Teal’s Pink Himalayan Foaming Bath under warm, running water and watch the bubbles melt stress away!

Dr. Teal’s products also come in other aromatherapy scents, including Eucalyptus & Spearmint and Lavendar.

Eye De-Puffing Solution: Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate

23 Oct

Hi beauties!

I don’t know what it is about the fall (maybe all of the falling leaves), but the new season usually brings changes to my eyes. Most mornings in the fall, my eyes are puffier than usual and darker under the eye area.

One of my favorite solutions for this eye dilemma is the cooling formula of Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate.

In addition to moisture retaining noni fruit juice, the formula contains Kombucha (a fermented black tea blend) designed to return luster and firm the skin. These exotic ingredients make this eye cream pricey, but a little goes a long way!

Not only does this anti-aging eye cream sink into your skin without being overly rich, the Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate also softens fine lines, and inhibits damaging free radicals.

Now, this eye concentrate may not magically get rid of wrinkles. But, it definitely makes my eyes look more refreshed, brighter, and less puffy!

Tip: For even more cooling power, store this eye cream in the fridge to quickly de-puff tired eyes.

Fall Skincare: SkinCeuticals Clarifying Clay Masque

11 Oct

SkinCeuticals Clay Masque

Hi beauties!

After an amazing September in Vancouver, it’s finally starting to look like fall. πŸ‚πŸ‚πŸ‚

Since the cooler weather means turning on indoor heat, I’ve been checking out some masks to help prevent irritation and dryness in my combination skin.

One thing I’ve figured out is that clay masks are a good choice for fall skincare since they contain bentonite. Bentonite clay, which is formed from volcanic ash, benefits skin by helping to remove toxins and reduce inflammation.

SkinCeuticals Clarifying Clay Masque combines bentonite and kaolin (another natural clay) to help calm the skin.

Even though the the clay in the mask decongests the skin and lifts impurities, I find it to be non-drying. It’s probably due to the rich, velvety texture of the masque which makes my skin feel soft and smooth whenever I use it.

Tips for Using Clay Masks

Here are some general tips to help make clay masks more effective.

  1. Use a brush to apply the mask to ensure it’s applied evenly and to avoid bacteria from your fingers.
  2. Apply the mask to spot areas, if you want to focus on certain parts of your face.
  3. To help remove the mask once it dries, apply a warm, damp cloth to your face to hydrate and loosen the mask from your skin.
  4. Use a clay mask 1-2 times a week to help restore and maintain a fresh complexion.
