Have you tried rose gold makeup yet?
For me, rose gold makeup is a breath of fresh air and a chance to leave the dark shades of winter behind. It’s also on the feminine side, and looks good on most skin tones.
Since I’m a fan of e.l.f. makeup, the Baked Highlighter & Blush in Rose Gold caught my eye recently.
This duo contains a gold highlighter to illuminate skin on one side, and a pinky peach blush on the other to add a flush of color. It also contains a bit of skincare with Jojoba, Sunflower, Apricot, and Grape Seed Oil to help nourish and hydrate the skin.
If you’re not familiar with baked makeup, it’s a process for creating makeup that results in a mixture of colors. You can build baked makeup without it looking cakey or chalky.
What I like most about this duo is the champagne highlighter that creates a subtle glow. I use a fan brush to apply the highlighter because it’s hard to apply too much product or mess it all up with this type of brush.
The versatility with this product also makes it worth checking out. You can apply it dry, wet (for more pigmentation), or mix it together.
Tip: An easy way to apply the Baked Highlighter & Blush wet is to spray your brush with a facial mist.
If you find the baked highlighter or blush too sheer when you get it home, you may want to remove the top layer (I used a cotton square) to get more color payoff.
Although, it was a bit tricky figuring out how to use this duo, I think I’m going to use it a lot. I like the portability of having both a highlighter and blush in a small compact, and the shades work beautifully together. 🌹
