End of Summer Favorites: e.l.f. Cosmetics

Hi beauties!

Do you have any favorite beauty products for the end of the summer?

Here are a couple of e.l.f. products that I’ve fallen in love this past month. 💕

Baked Highlighter & Bronzer

I picked up the Baked Highlighter & Blush earlier this year and loved it. When I saw that e.l.f. had a baked bronzer/highlighter duo, it was a no-brainer to pick up this one too (for $5.99!).

The bronzer shade is a medium brown in a matte finish that can also be used for contouring. The highlighter shade gives off just the right glow.

The formula for this baked duo is enriched with vitamin E and hydrating jojoba, rose hip, sunflower, apricot, and grape oils to nourish the skin.

Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadow (Rose Gold)

Since metallic eyeshadow has been making a comeback, I’ve been on the hunt for a pink nude shade that will work with the neutrals that I love to wear.

The Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadow is a liquid eyeshadow infused with Purified Water and Vitamin E to help hydrate.

The applicator makes it easy to sweep onto the lids. I then use my fingers to blend it out.

e.l.f. Mineral Infused Primer

I apply the Clear shade of this primer under makeup, but also wear it alone on those days when I don’t want to wear foundation (but need a little “help”).

The texture is silky and creates a smooth finish. When I wear powder foundation, it helps to make it look less dry.

Enjoy the rest of your summer! 🌞

Three Primers That Help Makeup Stay Put

Favorite Primers

Hello beauties!

In the summer, I use a primer to control shine. In the fall and winter, I use different primers because my skin needs some hydration 911!

Here are a couple of my favorite primers that help makeup stay put during the cooler weather.

NYX Cosmetics Lip Primer

I have a lot of love for this lip primer 💕. There’s something about the texture that creates just the right canvas for lip color! It also smoothes out any dry areas.

Not only does the NYX Lip Primer help make my lip product last longer, it also prevents feathering!

The lip primer is available in two shades: nude and  deep nude. I use the nude shade, which helps retain the true color of the lip product I’ve applied.

e.l.f. Mineral Infused Primer

Who can resist an effective face primer for under $10?

e.l.f.’s Mineral Infused Primer is a silicon-based primer, which contains a mineral formula to help fight dryness.

I use the Clear shade daily, but this primer also comes in other shades:

  • Tone Adjusting Green minimizes redness and corrects blotchy skin.
  • Brightening Lavender evens out skin tones and brightens dull or yellow tones.
  • Radiant Glow (with shimmer) creates a luminizing effect on dark spots and uneven skin tones.

Note: There’s one more reason to check out this primer. All ingredients in e.l.f. cosmetics are veganfriendly and cruelty-free 🐰 .

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is legendary and a favorite of makeup artists because it guarantees more vibrant eye shadow that lasts for hours.

It’s an easy-to-use shadow primer packaged with a doe applicator that goes on smoothly.

What’s the “magic” potion? The formula comes in an ultra-sheer base that glides on and disappears instantly.

Budget Beauty Essentials: e.l.f. Cosmetics

ELFContourPrimer

Hello beauties!

Have you tried e.l.f. cosmetics yet?

I know there are a lot of e.l.f. fans out there. Count me in because this drugstore brand definitely proves that you don’t have to spend megabucks for high-quality beauty products. I also love the e.l.f. mission which is “to make luxurious beauty accessible for all women to play beautifully.”

If you love palettes and primers, here are two budget beauty essentials that you have to check out. With so many choices at low prices, this beauty brand is definitely going to test your inner makeup junkie will power.

e.l.f. Contour Palette

This no-fuss contour compact comes with a good-sized mirror and four pigmented colors designed for contouring, shading, sculpting, brightening, and highlighting:

  • The first shade is an off-white color for highlighting that blends well and provides just a touch of shimmer.
  • The second shade (next to the highlighter) is a brightening shade you can also use to cover imperfections.
  • The third shade is a medium bronze for contouring in your favorite areas.
  • The fourth shade is a deeper bronze (with no orange tones) for drama or darker skin tones.

TIP: Since the pans are smaller in this contour palette, use a smaller contouring brush to avoid picking up other colors.

What’s also clever about this palette is that the pans in the palette are removable. Turn the palette over and you can pop out the shades and mix and match them with shades from other e.l.f. palettes.

e.l.f. Mineral Infused Primer

I love primers and the price (under $10) is right for e.l.f.’s Mineral Infused Primer.
