New Launches from Maison Jacynthe

Maison Jacynthe

Hi beauties!

Last year, I reviewed a few products from Maison Jacynthe, a Canadian beauty brand that offers makeup and skincare made only of 100% natural and active ingredients.

This year, the brand is back with new launches including nail polish, highlighter, foundation, and natural perfumes!

I was offered a chance to try out three of their new launches: non-toxic nail polish, powder highlighter, and liquid foundation.

Nail Polish (Taormina)

If you prefer your manicure to be as non-toxic as possible, Maison Jacynthe nail polish is free of ten of the most toxic ingredients usually found in nail polish. The formula is 75% to 80% of natural origin, and gluten and nickel-free (to avoid risks of allergies).

This unique nail polish, which is available in 10 colors, is quite opaque so even one coat does the job. The color I selected is a deep rose shade, an all-season neutral.

Highlighter (Lune Rose)

Count me in when it comes to a natural highlighter! The Maison Jacynthe highlighter is available in 3 shades:

  • Soleil Pétillant is shimmery with a slight golden tint.
  • Lune Rose is shimmery with a golden pink finish.
  • Lune Noire is a shimmery finish ideal on darker skin tones.

I received a refill of the Lune Rose highlighter to sample. The powder in this highlighter is fine and creamy. The shimmer factor is bang on, with just a hint of light that gives you healthy looking skin.

Maison Jacynthe highlighters can be used on the usual areas like your cheekbones and temples, but you can also apply it to other areas:

  • Eyes: Use a small eyeshadow brush and apply highlighter below the eyebrow, on the corner, or middle of the eyelids.
  • Lips: Apply on the center of the lips, with a small pointed lip brush for maximum accuracy.

The natural ingredients in the highlighter include coffee for collagen production and apricot oil to brighten the complexion.

Liquid Foundation (Beige Porcelain)

I selected an ivory shade called Beige Porcelain from the range of five shades. Even though my skin tone is on the pale side (as the Vancouver sun takes a hiatus for the winter), this shade turned out to be a pretty good match.

The light buildable coverage, which helped to cover a recent breakout, leaves a natural even finish. The bottle comes with an application wand so you can get every drop. I applied the foundation with my fingers, but also found it worked well with a blending sponge.

For me, it’s exciting to use a foundation with natural ingredients that keep your skin moisturized and protected, like borage oil and coffee extracts.

Even more good news about this chemical-free brand . . . Maison Jacynthe has joined the PETA Beauty Without Business Program, as one of their cruelty-free companies. 🐇

New Natural Makeup Line: Maison Jacynthe

Maison Jacynthe

Since I’m a makeup junkie, all types of bronzers, shadows, and lipstick catch my eye. When makeup products contain natural and vegan ingredients and are designed in Italy, they deserve a second look.

You may have already checked out other blog posts about the new natural makeup line from the Maison Jacynthe skincare brand. Their PR team, which has done a great job reaching out to the beauty blogging community, was kind enough to send me these samples:

  • Terracota Bronzing Powder
  • Eye Shadow
  • Lipstick
